In October 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Visit North Idaho to showcase the beauty and excitement of Fall in this often-overlooked gem of a destination. Over the course of my 9-day adventure, I immersed myself in the vibrant seasonal activities across seven charming towns and cities: Bonner Ferry, Priest Lake, Spirit Lake, Sandpoint, St. Maries, Priest River, and Post Falls. From hiking scenic trails to canoeing serene lakes, rock climbing rugged peaks, paddle boarding in crisp waters, horseback riding through golden forests, and even mushroom hunting in the wild—this trip was a treasure trove of outdoor experiences.

But it wasn’t just about adventure. I also explored the area’s fantastic local dining spots, cozy accommodations, and hidden gems, all of which helped paint a full picture of what North Idaho has to offer during the Fall months. Visit North Idaho tasked me with highlighting not only the region’s natural beauty but also its warm, welcoming communities—and that’s exactly what I did.
